Orthopaedic and traumatological surgery:
All orthopedic surgery is performed at the clinic.
Our team's technical know-how is particularly applied to:
General orthopedics : fractures, artificial limb or replacement
( knee, hip )
Major arthroscopy: this technique allows lesions of the meniscus,
the ligaments and kneecaps, to be treated in the shortest possible
time.
Hospitalization usually lasts only a day and functional recovery
is very fast.
Rachis (slipped disc) : this operation is often practised at the
clinic, particularly using endoscopy. This technique allows you
to be up three hours after the operation and a short stay in hospital
( usually 2 days ).
The clinic also has a team of on call surgeons to deal with traumatic
lesions in an emergency. The provision of new techniques, particularly
endoscopy and the presence of a multi-disciline team mean that the
patient can be taken care of immediately ( diagnosis and treatment).
- Neurosurgery:
Is applied to the whole of the nervous system ( brain, spinal cord,
nerves) and of the structure containing it (skull, vertebral column).
The opêrations performed cover the following areas: brain
and bone marrow surgery (tumuors, vascular malformations, aneurysm,
haemorrhage, traumatisms) surgery of the pituitary gland ( adenomas,
craniopharyngioma, meningioma, cysts) surgery of the spinal column
( tumours, slipped discs, degenerative complaints, osteosynthesis,
micro- diskectomy, percutaneous diskectomy) otoneurosurgery ( acoustic
neurinomas).
The provision of the most recent techniques in exploratory examination
has greatly increased the extent of care that can be given. The clinic
has recently been enhanced by an MRS which is today 's leading technique
in exploratory examination and allows examinations of unequal precision.
The clinic also has a scanner, a digital angiography and an arteriography.
The field of application of neurosurgery often covers that of other
specialities, including orthopaedic surgery. The expertise of the
clinic's multi-discipline team means that with the combined skills
of different specialists, the patient can be given all the necessary
care and treatment.
