General and digestive surgery:
All digestive surgery operations are performed at the clinic: oesophagal,
pancreatic, colorectal, proctological.
The clinic is equipped with the latest technological facilities
to perform these operations which often involve major surgery. The
post operative phase is entirely taken care of by an intensive care
unit .
Endocrine surgery is also performed at the clinic, particularly
thyroid operations.
Gastroplasty is often carried out at the clinic for treating excess
weight.
The clinic also has a centre for coelioscopic surgery, allowing
less traumatic operations (minimal scarring) as well as a shorter
hospitalization : hiatus hernia, inguinal hernia, gall bladder,
appendicitis and colon.
- Coelioscopic surgery:
Video Coelioscopy surgery allows for closed abdomen operations,
with the use of a miniature video system and special surgical instruments.
The operation relies on video transmission. Small incisions are
made to allow a miniature video system and instruments to be inserted.
This technique is of particular interest, as it is less traumatic
(minimal scarring) and has reduced after-effects.
Video-coelioscopie is used particularly in digestive surgery (hiatus
hernia, inguinal hernia, gall bladder, appendix, colon..) and is
also used in gynaecological surgery (extra-uterine pregnancy, hysterectomy)
and in urological surgery (prostate, tumours of the bladder, kidney
stones).
